I’m an artist, and art educator, a (almost) wife, a twin, a fan of all foods, true crime fanatic, and an extroverted homebody with an undeniable wanderlust spirit. All of these things help to define me, but at the same time, barely scratch the surface.
As an art educator, I hope to merge myself and my proficiency in the field, be a vessel for knowledge and growth in community, and to nourish student teacher connection in the classroom. I have a passion for teaching students how much art can change your life through its communication aspect through non traditional medium, and how it can be an unbelievable creative outlet. I truly believe my job is to create a classroom experience that is both educational, a safe space that is open for conversation and dialect with the intersection of art, and teach the importance of multicultural art education and the evolution of technology. I strive to teach younger generations to find their creative voice, as art is a language for those that don’t have the right words. Expression through colors, shapes, shades and lines is a tool that can be a beautiful lesson of vulnerability. I am constantly evolving and growing, finding new passions to submerge myself into, and am forever grateful to learn from those around me and the experiences I have had in life. |
